POSITION OVERVIEW
- Gate Attendants are responsible for greeting guests, scanning tickets, checking pit passes and credentials, and ensuring that only properly authorized individuals enter restricted areas. This is an excellent role for individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Greet guests and teams as they arrive and provide friendly customer service.
- Scan printed or digital tickets using provided equipment.
- Check and verify pit passes, driver/crew credentials, and wristbands at designated entry points.
- Ensure only authorized personnel enter pit or restricted areas.
- Assist guests with directions, event details, and general questions.
- Maintain orderly crowd flow at gates and restricted access points.
- Report any concerns or credential issues to supervisors immediately.
- Enforce Mansfield Speedway policies and entry procedures.
- Keep gate areas clean, organized, and safe throughout the event.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Customer service or event experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather.
- Comfortable managing busy or high-traffic environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for weekends, evenings, and race days.
- Able to use handheld scanners or mobile devices (training provided).
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Minimal lifting, some bending, and reaching
- Will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Workplace environment can be loud at times especially during races and events
AVAILABILITY
- Weekend and evening availability required for scheduled events.
