POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Mansfield Speedway is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Janitorial Team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all guest areas, pit zones, restrooms, and facility buildings remain clean, safe, and presentable before, during, and after racing events. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle physical tasks, and provide excellent support to the Speedway operations team.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Event & Facility Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain restrooms, concession areas, grandstands, suites, pit buildings, and general grounds
  • Sweep, mop, and remove debris throughout public and restricted-access areas
  • Keep walkways, seating areas, and vendor zones free of trash and hazards
  • Empty and replace trash and recycling containers regularly
  • Clean windows, counters, handrails, doors, and other high-touch surfaces

During Event Support

  • Respond quickly to spills, restroom needs, or high-traffic cleaning issues
  • Restock restroom supplies (soap, towels, toilet paper, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness of pit areas and team support zones
  • Provide general assistance to operations staff as needed

Post-Event Responsibilities

  • Aid in full facility clean-out following large races or events
  • Assist with property-wide trash pickup and disposal
  • Report any maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, damaged areas) to Supervisors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least at 18 years old.
  • Prior janitorial, custodial, or groundskeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Comfortable working around large crowds, noise, dust, and fast-paced operations
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event days as scheduled
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team attitude


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting (up to 50 pounds); bending, and reaching
  • Will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Workplace environment can be loud at times especially during races and events

AVAILABILITY

  • Weekend and evening availability required for scheduled events.

*This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role and is not a W-2 employee position. Independent contractors are not employees of the company and are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. The company does not withhold or remit income tax, Social Security, Medicare, or unemployment taxes on behalf of contractors.
