POSITION OVERVIEW

• Mansfield Speedway is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Merchandise Team. Merch Attendants are responsible for assisting fans with the purchase of apparel, souvenirs, and event-day merchandise while providing a friendly, high-energy guest experience. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public in a fast-paced event environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Fan Interaction & Sales

• Greet guests and assist them in selecting merchandise
• Operate point-of-sale systems to process cash and card transactions accurately
• Provide product information, answer questions, and promote featured items
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times

Merchandise Setup & Presentation

• Help set up and tear down merchandise booths, tents, and displays
• Ensure all items are neatly organized, stocked, and presented according to Speedway standards
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restock needs to supervisors
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and visually appealing

Event Support

• Assist with pre-event inventory and post-event counts
• Keep track of best-selling items and guest feedback
• Help manage line flow during peak crowds
• Support other guest-facing operations when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least at 18 years old.
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills
• Basic math skills and comfort operating a register/POS device
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Must be available for evenings, weekends, and event days

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Lifting (up to 50 pounds); bending, and reaching
• Will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Workplace environment can be loud at times especially during races and events

AVAILABILITY

• Weekend and evening availability required for scheduled events.

Independent contractors are not employees of the company and are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. The company does not withhold or remit income tax, Social Security, Medicare, or unemployment taxes on behalf of contractors.
