POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Pit Entry & Payout Attendant is responsible for verifying pit passes, managing driver and team check-ins, maintaining accurate records, and processing event payouts. This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with the public in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Greet drivers, crew members, and officials as they arrive at pit entry.
  • Check and verify pit passes, wristbands, and credentials for all pit-area entrants.
  • Process pit pass sales and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
  • Maintain clear and organized entry logs and rosters for each event.
  • Communicate with race control and event staff regarding pit access and special entries.
  • Assist with end-of-night payout procedures, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Distribute checks or approved payouts to drivers/teams based on official results.
  • Obtain signatures and maintain proper documentation for all payouts.
  • Provide excellent customer service while enforcing speedway rules and safety guidelines.
  • Report any discrepancies, credential issues, or concerns to supervisors.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills required.
  • Experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a high-traffic environment with frequent interaction with drivers and teams.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and race/event days.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and work outdoors.
  • Professional, friendly, and able to communicate clearly under pressure.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  •  Minimal lifting, some bending, and reaching
  • Will be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Workplace environment can be loud at times especially during races and events

AVAILABILITY

  • Weekend and evening availability required for scheduled events.

*This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role and is not a W-2 employee position. Independent contractors are not employees of the company and are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. The company does not withhold or remit income tax, Social Security, Medicare, or unemployment taxes on behalf of contractors.

This role includes clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and expected availability related to specific events or project needs.
