Some events you watch. Some events you feel. Night of Destruction is the second kind.
On Sunday, May 3, Mansfield Speedway hosts its first Night of Destruction — a full evening of demolition derby madness that kicks off just one day after the Comeback Classic reopening race. If you thought Saturday was going to be loud, you haven't seen anything yet.
Doors open at 4 p.m. Get there early. This one sells out.
Get tickets — Sunday May 3What is Night of Destruction?
Night of Destruction is a full-on demolition derby event — cars, chaos, and a crowd that's on its feet the entire time. It's produced by Brandon Hauler Fair Derby, one of the most experienced demolition derby operators in the Midwest, and it's coming to Mansfield Speedway's freshly rebuilt dirt oval for the first time.
If you've never been to a demolition derby, here's what you need to know: drivers go side by side in a walled arena with one goal — be the last car running. No laps. No strategy. Just controlled chaos until one car is left standing.
It's louder than you expect. It's more fun than you expect. And it's the kind of night that gets talked about for weeks.

Who should come
Night of Destruction is one of those rare events that works for everyone. Here's who it's perfect for:
- Families — kids go absolutely wild for this. Kids 10 and under get in free, and there's nothing age-appropriate about the action (in the best way).
- Groups — this is peak group night out energy. Buy a row, bring everyone, lose your voice.
- First-timers — if you've never been to a motorsports event before, Night of Destruction is actually the perfect entry point. No prior knowledge required — you'll understand everything within 30 seconds of the first heat.
- Die-hards — you already know. See you there.
Part of the opening weekend
Night of Destruction is day two of Mansfield Speedway's official opening weekend. The night before — Saturday, May 2 — is the Comeback Classic, featuring Iron Man FAST 410 Sprints and the American Late Model Iron-Man Series. That's the race that officially brings the track back to life.
Come out Saturday for the racing. Come back Sunday for the destruction. Or better yet — do both.
Comeback Classic — Saturday, May 2Iron Man FAST 410 Sprints + American Late Model Iron-Man Series. Gates at 5 p.m. Get Saturday tickets.
